How it works
- Paste your text (a link, a note, an address, a password) and choose Save text.
- Get it onto the other device:
- Side by side? Choose QR code and scan it with the other device’s camera.
- Not nearby? Choose Share… or copy the link, and send it any way you like.
- Open it on the other device and copy the text.
Works across every mix of devices
| From → To | How |
|---|---|
| iPhone → Windows PC | Share the link, or copy it and open it on the PC |
| Windows PC → iPhone or Android | Scan the QR code with the phone’s camera |
| Android → Mac | Share the link, or copy it and open it on the Mac |
| Chromebook ↔ anything | The same, in the Chromebook’s browser |
No Bluetooth pairing, no shared Wi-Fi, no accounts to match.
Private, like it should be
Your text is encrypted in your browser before it leaves your device. The key is part of the link and never reaches our server, so we can’t read what you send. Each text deletes itself at the time you choose. Or tick “Delete after it’s opened once” so it vanishes after the first look.
What it’s not
- Text only, for now. For files and photos you’ll need another tool.
- Not instant push. You open the link or scan the code on the other device; nothing appears on it by itself.
Questions
Is there AirDrop for Windows or Android?
Apple’s AirDrop only works between Apple devices. For text, ClipPigeon does a similar job in any browser, so it works on Windows, Android, Linux and Chromebook too.
Can I send files with ClipPigeon?
Not yet. ClipPigeon is for text: notes, links, addresses, passwords, code. Up to 100 KB per text.
Do the devices need to be near each other?
No. A link works across any distance and network. A QR code is handy when the devices are side by side.
Is ClipPigeon connected with Apple?
No. ClipPigeon is an independent web tool and is not affiliated with Apple.
