From phone to computer
- On your phone, open ClipPigeon, paste or type the text, and tap Save text.
- Tap Share… and send the link to wherever you can open it on the computer, such as a note or a message to yourself. Or copy the link.
- On the computer, open the link. Your text is there, ready to copy.
From computer to phone (the easy direction)
- On the computer, paste the text and choose Save text.
- Choose QR code.
- Point your phone’s camera at the screen and tap the link it finds. The text opens on your phone.
No typing on the phone at all.
Why not just email yourself?
- It’s faster: no inbox, no searching, nothing left behind.
- It doesn’t pile up. Your text deletes itself at the time you choose (1 hour, 1 day, 7 days or 30 days), instead of sitting in your email forever.
- It works across any brands. Android to Windows, iPhone to Windows, Chromebook to anything: if it has a browser, it works.
- It’s private. Your text is encrypted before it leaves your phone, and the key stays in the link, so our server can’t read it.
Doing this every day?
Connect your phone and your computer to the same history once: choose Connect device (top right of the home page), then Get a device code, and enter the code on the other device. After that, every text you save on one appears in Recent on the other when you open or refresh the page.
Questions
Do I need to install an app on my phone or computer?
No. ClipPigeon works in the browser you already have, on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebook.
Do both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi?
No. The link works over any internet connection, so your phone can be on mobile data and your computer on office Wi-Fi.
Do I need to sign in to the same account on both devices?
No. There is no account. The link or QR code is all the other device needs.
Is it safe for private text?
Yes. The text is encrypted in your browser and the key stays in the link, so our server can’t read it. Choose a short expiry for anything sensitive.
Can I send text from my computer to my phone?
Yes, it works both ways. On the computer, save the text and scan the QR code with your phone’s camera.
